In 2018, as a celebration of Bitcoin’s 10th birthday that year, Hublot launched a technical masterpiece based on their HUB 1201 caliber, with inspiration from the blockchain technology: the Hublot Big Bang Meca–10 P2P.
This is the first watch in the world to be verified on the Bitcoin Blockchain. The unique number of the watch’s purchase transaction is stored immutably on the Bitcoin blockchain. The transaction number is also engraved on the case, thus making each watch a truly unique piece of the overall limited edition. Only 210 pieces have been manufactured, a nod to the overall, yet to-be-reached cap of a 21 million maximum of bitcoins in existence. All watches were sold out.
